Update Fieldstudy

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip to Dhaka, which was planned for March. Nevertheless, we were able to adapt our field study to the Pandamian situation. With the introductory workshop and the feedback forms in online format, we were able to attract over 80 participants to our study so far.

Bangladesh trip postponed because of Corona

Quite suddenly, with the worldwide spread of the corona virus, priorities have changed. Our health and that of our fellow people now comes first. The government in Bangladesh has also taken measures to protect and no longer issues visas to people from Europe. Starting the Crowdfunding Campaign

We are very excited to announce that we have launched our very first crowdfunding campaign today!!!! In order to actively support CMMS with the field study, some of us will travel to Dhaka, Bangladesh’s capital, in March to attend workshops and exchange information on the status of the study.During our visit we will also expand our local contact network and start negotiations with potential business partners. Visit from CMMS

A special milestone for us was the visit of Dr Sayed Saikh Imtiaz and Jinat Hossain from CMMS accompanied by Sharmin Suborna in Lüneburg last week. During two intensive workshop days we discussed the potential of the menstrual cup, prepared the field study and organized the transport of the cups to Bangladesh.

Talking in schools about menstruation

In addition to our international commitment, we also dedicate part of our work to a local approach. In schools in Lüneburg we offer educational workshops aimed at girls in the 6th and 7th grades. In 90min project sessions we talk about menstruation, various menstrual hygiene products and offer open discussion groups. Celebrating MH-DAY

May 28th is the official menstrual hygiene day! Poculum raised awareness of this topic by inviting people to an event in honor of this day! We had a greeeeaaat time with a special guest, lucky winners of our funny menstruation-bingo and plenty of interesting discussions.
